What to Do in North Dallas

People usually think of Dallas or Fort Worth as the places to be when it comes to things to see and do.  But North Dallas shouldn’t be overlooked—we’ve got some great things to do too!  From food to nature preserves and everything in between, North Dallas is quickly becoming the place to be.  Check out the dining, shopping, and entertainment options that surround our coworking space when you’ve got some time to kill.

1. Restaurants

From Korean barbecue to down-home Southern comfort food, there is a restaurant for everyone just minutes from HeadSpace.  Some of our faves include:

·       Whiskey Cake—Upscale farm-to-table dishes, gourmet burgers, and delicious cocktails make this a must on a Friday night.

·       Mama’s Daughters’ Diner—Southern staples like chicken and dumplings, chicken fried steak, and meat loaf harken back to dinner at Grandma’s house.  And if you’re feeling some pancakes, the all-day breakfast menu provides.

·       Newk’s Eatery—Delicious sandwiches and soups make Newk’s a perfect lunch spot.

·       Chuy’s—It wouldn’t be Texas without a little Tex-Mex, and Chuy’s delivers. Did we mention they have endless tortilla chip refills?

2. Nature Trails

Who would’ve guessed that a nature preserve would be nestled in the heart of Plano?  The Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a serene spot where you can take a lunchtime walk or a bike ride on the weekends. With paved and unpaved trails, as well as a dedicated off-road cycling trail, you can enjoy the beauty of nature just minutes from the HeadSpace offices.

3. Shopping

For those who like to shop ‘til they drop, Plano boasts some awesome shopping centers.  The Shops at Legacy features upscale restaurants, bars, and chic boutiques, as well as the Angelika Film Centre where you can catch limited releases.  The Shops at Willow Bend, just five minutes from HeadSpace Dallas, has some well-known retail chains, including H&M, Neiman Marcus, and Banana Republic.  So whatever your style, you’ll find plenty of stores to choose from.
